I'm home sick. I first read your e-zine a week ago and now I want to go home. In 1994 I was an exchange student to Ludvika, Sweden. I don't have to tell your readers about how magical this experience was and how it transformed my life. I will just say that since 1994 I have lived in Sweden for 4 years, traveled in Europe, Thailand, and also traveled in my home country of Australia. The world is my work place and playground. So why do I want to do go home? It is simple.
I miss my family, the big family of exchange students. "Home" is no longer a tangible place with four walls a roof and an address. Home is a feeling in my heart that awakens every time I share my experiences with a fellow exchange. I am no longer an Australian, I'm not Swedish either, I am a product of the metamorphosis the exchange experience provides the lucky few.
