Alone I sit a million miles from home
Only to realize that home is the reason I feel alone.
I wonder why I seem so foreign to people in my own land?
I ponder my position, which in reality is my demand.
Am I homesick of my own home?
The place I live that is said to be my dwelling
It doesn't feel like my place.
It feels like an empty space.
The same people with the same things.
The same trouble with the drama it brings.
I want to see different faces, different races
Different people with different lives,
Different people speaking different lies
Diversified to an orchestra of humanity
Those who fail to understand speak of profanity,
Yet, I wonder is this how others feel when they live
At home their home that beautiful land of birth?
Is it the question or does my answer have some worth?
Because home is my heart, and my dreams of seeing
Someone else in a different place.
The filling of that empty space.
